What’s the place of humour in the Christian life?
I’m thinking of that verse in Proverbs,
- ‘A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones’ (Prov. 17:22 NIV).
- What about, ‘A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit’ (Prov. 15:13 NIV)?
- There is a time for every activity under the heavens, including ‘a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance’ (Eccl. 3:4).
